This 54.99m custom motor yacht, built by Amels and delivered to her owner in 2003, arrived at Palumbo Superyachts Refit Malta on 17th January and is expected to depart by the end of September. Terence Disdale is responsible for her timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere, twinned to an attractive collection of leisure and entertainment facilities to make her ideal for socialising and entertaining with family and friends.
Despite being completed in 2003, the comparatively recent interior design demonstrates the seasoned experience of Terence Disdale Design’s team. Based in the UK, the award-winning studio renowned for their refreshingly casual yet chic style is also responsible for the yacht exterior styling.
With steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she features an ultra-modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion effect and ensure the ultimate comfort throughout your onboard vacation. Her cruising speed of 12.5 knots, maximum speed of 17 knots and range of 1,500nm provide the perfect combination of performance and luxury.
Her interior layout sleeps up to 8 people in 4 guest rooms, including a master suite and 3 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. Despite being an exquisite feat of engineering and design, just like every other yacht she needs working on throughout their lifetime, whether for refit, scheduled maintenance or emergency work.
On this occasion, she has been docked to undertake a number of works which so far have involved:
– repairs to the steel grey water tanks
– cleaning of the fuel tanks
– blasting and painting of all tanks
– overhauling of overboard valves
– repairs to pipework
– paint repair work to the entire underwater hull.
While the shipyard keeps marking items off the to-do list, the customer has already expressed appreciation for the quality of what done to date…not too bad, I’d say!
