At our Palumbo SY Refit Ancona shipyard, we are very proud to welcome M/Y Prometej, a beautiful 45-metre private yacht. Originally built by Santierul Naval Galati in 1957 as an icebreaker, the vessel was converted into a pleasure boat in 2005. Her naval architecture and exterior design is by Water Line, while the interiors are by Alberta Ferretti. Born with a scientific aim, M/Y Prometej is the living proof that an ocean going tug can be successfully converted into a luxury superyacht marked by a distinctive charm. Arrived at our shipyard on 4th September, M/Y Prometej underwent various refit jobs, including replacing fairleads, metal parts and sheets necessary to repair the main deck hatches. Other works involved applying antifouling coating and painting to the top side and underwater hull, rub rail and bottom line. Soon M/Y Prometej will be ready again to welcome guests for best world cruises enjoying all the amenities and luxuries of a superyacht which has retained the solid seaworthiness of a tug boat.
